A large amount of money at once, then title, fencing and getting water to it before you plant anything.
Renting a raw acre
Cheaper per acre than us, and we say so. The cost is the setting up: water brought to it, fencing and clearing, across a full acre before you plant.
One serviced plot
Dearer per acre, but the setting up is done and shared. You start on one month's fee, then take the next plot when the farming has paid for it.
Nothing to apply for. Walk the site, pick a plot, agree a term.
The water is already there. You pay for what you use.
On most rented land you either bring the water yourself or share a supply nobody measures. Here the water is already on the land, and your plot gets its own take-off and meter when you start.

The rate per plot comes down as you take more, so you can expand as you earn rather than borrowing to set up land you have not grown into yet. Ask us for a block rate before you commit to several.

What a plot changes is the commitment, not the rate: one month's fee to start, no water to bring, no acre to clear and fence before you plant.

Nothing is taken yet, so any plots you like can be side by side. Two together is one long bed run rather than two separate plots to walk between, and it stays that way as you add the next.

We quote a block rate rather than multiplying the single-plot price, including half-acre and one-acre blocks. Three things at the start: your first month's plot fee, a refundable deposit, and a one-off charge to meter your plot and run the pipe to it. The connection is yours for the length of your term. Yes, a refundable one, held for the length of your term. It covers unpaid water or fees, damage to a meter or tap, and clearing a plot that is left behind. It is not part of the monthly fee, and it comes back to you after the final reading and inspection.
From KSh 2,000 a month, paid every month. Water is on its own meter and billed on top. Manure, seedlings and any work you ask us to do are priced separately, and only if you want them.
